See, React, Interpret with Artist Thomas Schaller

Thomas Schaller is an eloquent advocate for painting beyond what you see and in this step by step demo he shows you exactly how he does that in his own watercolors, from first sketch to final strokes. He also offers a materials list for the demo and you will see him painting in a video demonstration as well, as he shares his process with us in real life.

Art Olympia 2019

The Third International Art Competition is a biennial event discovering talented artists and supporting their art activities. Two dimensional artworks, including photography, will be accepted. A point-rating system is consistently used for all selections. 160 artworks of general and student categories will be winners and undergo a final review in Tokyo. The First Place winner will receive US$120,000. In addition, 1,000 artists will be featured on the Art Olympia website and in art magazines.

Many winners of this exhibition are active in the United States and around the world.

Expert Jurors: Brett Littman, Chu Teh-I, Emmanuelle Lequeux, Zheng Lin, Florence Derieux, Hiroshi Senju, Toyomi Hoshina, Akiya Takahashi, Yuko Hasegawa, and Akiko Endo.
